The lodge was filthy, and the rooms hadn't been cleaned. The bedsheets and pillow covers weren't washed properly, and the pillows and mattress were the poorest quality. There was no wash basin or handwash in the toilet. The toilet itself was in very poor condition and terribly unclean.

The owner and madam were friendly, and the room issue got sorted quickly. The first one had poor lighting, but after I asked, they moved me to a room with a good tube light. I did have to wait while they cleaned it, so let them know early when you’re arriving. I was here for two days because my exam was at Madras Presidency Girls High School, which is very close. The building is old and they don’t provide drinking water. I bought two 5L Bisleri cans, which were more than enough. It cost ₹450 per day for two adults. My stay worked well for the exam, and at that price it made sense for just two days instead of paying for an expensive hotel. If your exam is at Madras Presidency School, this could suit you. The room was in terrible shape, with discolored walls, a broken ceiling, and a filthy, unhygienic bathroom. The beds were infested with cockroaches and mice. This didn’t feel fit for a family or anyone.
