The caretakers are really attentive. Even if you ask for food at an odd hour, they’ll make it with a smile. The guest house is good, the food and hospitality are great, and the internet works well. The blankets are very old and could use replacing.

I paid 560 INR for a room booked for one adult, then asked to add someone in the same room. They wanted another 1000 INR, more than double the original rate. They said every room was booked and prices had gone up. That felt like daylight robbery, and there was no customer friendly response. I had to book a nearby hotel for my guest, for half the extra amount they wanted. There are plenty of other places nearby, so I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I confirmed the booking both with OYO and the hotel, but by 10 pm, when I arrived to check in, I found it had been cancelled and the rate had doubled. OYO told me to book again at the new price, which was really disappointing. I’d booked through them on 29th July 2019. They’d called to confirm while I was in a meeting with our MD, so I missed it, then called back after their message. The booking was confirmed, and they told me to contact the hotel, which I did. The property managers were good, but OYO’s way of working felt like a clever way to cheat people while hiding behind its policies. Profiteering can’t go on forever. Thanks.

There are plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and supermarkets nearby, which made things easy. I had a decent one night stay, and the guest house is only about 10 minutes from Chrompet bus stop.
