My stay at The Spin Hotel in Chennai, near Marina Beach, was a nightmare, especially with my kids. The room was very poor quality, and the bedsheets and pillows didn't feel clean. We woke up with bug bites on both the children and me, and spent the night worrying about insects instead of sleeping properly. For what it cost, the quality was unacceptable and the room didn't meet basic hygiene standards. It was a stressful, uncomfortable family stay and a total waste of money. Families with kids should think twice before booking.

I booked online well in advance through MakeMyTrip and had a confirmed reservation, but when I arrived late at night the hotel said there was no room under my booking. MakeMyTrip offered no real support or alternative arrangement, leaving us stranded around midnight. After a long trip, that was deeply frustrating and irresponsible. A confirmed booking should mean something, especially when guests arrive at night. The hotel and booking platform both left us helpless when we needed help most. This has badly shaken my trust, and I'd urge others to be cautious about using MakeMyTrip or staying at this property.

I booked room 301 directly at reception on 06.01.2025 and paid Rs.2000/-. The restroom had no water, and after I contacted reception three times they arranged for us to use a nearby room's washroom instead. That room had no hot water for bathing either. When I came back in the evening, our own room still had no water, which was extremely irritating. The kettle was just there for show. The AC room had poor ventilation and an unbearable cigarette smell. I don't smoke, so that says a lot about how well the room was cleaned. Around 7.30 the power went out, and we could feel the generator vibrating in the room.

Worst hotel in the triplecne area. It's all pictures, then you get to stay with cockroaches and more. Please don't stay here.

The receptionist was rude and dismissive, and didn't handle my concerns or requests properly. Their unprofessional, unhelpful attitude had a big effect on my stay.
