We booked nine rooms for our group of 22 and expected basic standards. Instead, the stay was filthy and frustrating, with rude management and no accountability. I strongly advise staying away unless the room is free. If you value your money and dignity, don't book this resort. The manager was rude and dismissive when we wanted to eat birthday cake in the restaurant. He had allowed us to cut it there, but then wouldn't let us eat it, even with our own plates and spoons. He acted as though letting us sit there was a favor. During the busy morning hours, none of our nine rooms had water. Staff took two hours to sort it out, and nobody came to the rooms to explain or help while around 20 people in our family struggled with their morning routines. The rooms had no shower gel or toiletries, slippers, dental kits, or other essentials. Each had only two small bottles of water. We had to beg for shower gel, and the manager said their policy was to provide it only on request. This is supposedly a four-star resort. Breakfast was stale and smelled strongly of fish and non-veg food. Several people in our group got sick, including some who ate only bread and butter. The sink and bathing water was yellow, the towels were visibly dirty, and the pillow covers were stained. There were also lizards in the rooms and broken locks, which made us feel unsafe. The extra bed came without a blanket. Staff said that was hotel policy and told us to use the mattress topper as a blanket, even though we had paid for the extra bed. Whenever we complained, the answer was simply, “This is our hotel policy.” Poor hygiene, unsafe food, broken fittings, and rude management made this a terrible stay. It ruined our Kerala trip.
