The beach here is wonderful, and there’s a nearby cafe with a volleyball court where you can borrow a ball. The setting is superb, looking out over the sea, and the shops are only about a two-minute walk away. Our hosts were friendly, and breakfast was very nice, with pineapple, grapes, papaya, toast, tasty mango marmalade, omelets, tea and coffee. The rooms are clean and simple. We had no water at the hand-wash basin, so used the shower instead. You can also ask for an extra mattress on the floor. It was very hard, but having the option was nice.

Austin and Jasmine live on site and keep everything running smoothly. We had a wonderful family stay at this charming place by the sea, with every room offering a lovely view and the waves audible from inside. It’s budget-friendly and only a short walk from Mararikulam Beach. The beach directly in front is quiet and uncrowded, and the nearby shops sell tasty bajis and tea. All rooms have air conditioning, and breakfast is included. There are no meals at the property, but the hosts can give you contacts for nearby restaurants with different kinds of food, and Swiggy and Zomato delivery is available too.

The auntie cooks well, and the family is very kind. Our room had a musty smell, maybe because it was the off season, but they’re good people to stay with and the location is awesome.

It became my new favourite place in the world. The sign says, “Arrive as guests, leave as friends,” and that’s exactly how I felt. Austin and Yasmin are wonderful hosts, and I felt welcome in such a comfortable, special location. If you get the chance to come, take it. You won’t regret it.

The family here are helpful and good-natured, and breakfast was included in the budget-friendly price. The villa sits right on the beach, where you can see the ocean and clearly hear the waves. Our room and bathroom were clean, and the rooms are spacious and well maintained.
