Mountain Club - Munnar

We tried a range of dishes and enjoyed every one of them. The staff were friendly, polite, and supportive the whole time, and having our own cottage made for a peaceful stay. Mountain Club Resort, Munnar is in a great location. We had a really good experience and would recommend it. 😊

There are plenty of nearby activities for anyone after some adventure, including ziplining, ATV rides, and kayaking. Kolukkumalai is also close by, which makes the resort handy for sightseeing. Our room was nicely designed and set among the hills, with lovely views and a calm atmosphere. The staff were courteous, friendly, and always ready to help. We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Club, Chinnakanal, Munnar, a lovely spot for relaxing and enjoying nature too.

The cottage was spotless, well looked after, and had the charm of a heritage property. The peaceful setting made it a great place to unwind, and the food was even better than we expected. Everyone was warm and attentive during our stay. Nobody pushed us to leave a review. I wanted to write one because we had such a good staycation. I'd happily come back and recommend the place to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

We booked family cottage No. 236, with two bedrooms, and checked in on 3.4.26. The next morning, the bathroom had no hot water. We complained several times, but it still wasn't fixed, so they gave us another room just to freshen up. We managed somehow, then planned to check out a day early. They said they would fix it or provide another room. That evening they said the engineering team had sorted it out, but there was no hot water again the next morning. After we complained, they sent us to room 239 to wash, but that room had no hot water either. We were so disappointed that we got ready without bathing. The first morning cost us four hours, and the second cost us another two. They eventually offered a third room just for bathing, but we declined. Both mornings were a nightmare and a big part of our holiday was wasted. I chose this place because it was rated as a 4 star hotel and had good reviews, but the reality was different. Hot water is a basic need in a hill station. I later learned that some rooms use gas heaters and others electric ones. Are they checking the electric heaters on their guests? Very bad. The service, maintenance, and quality management made us regret choosing this resort. We'd stayed at a 3 star hotel in Thekkady earlier, and it was very good. This trip was made stressful by the resort.
