OYO 30567 Karthik Inn

We paid for an AC room, but there was no AC facility, even though they collected the money in advance at reception when we entered. Power kept going out, and there was no generator. Water was also unavailable several times. When we asked, we were told a staff member was turning off the valve because of a leak. There was no phone connection, so every complaint meant going to reception in person. A really frustrating stay.

The windows rattled loudly all night, and the noise wouldn't stop. Most rooms apparently had no hot water, so we were sent to a random floor to use a room with a geyser that other guests had checked out of and that hadn't been cleaned. Our own room was filthy, with stained, dirty linens and no toiletries, and the staff were rude and unresponsive. Even the main door had no handle. Stay away.

There were lizards and cockroaches around, and the blankets were dirty. When we asked for a clean one, they refused, saying none were available. The room looked nothing like the pictures, and they also tried to refuse the online price. No toiletries as advertised, and although there was a TV, they hadn't provided a remote. Better to avoid this place.

Even with a confirmed OYO booking, they may refuse to honor it over the price, and the response was rude and dismissive. I also don't trust OYO to help you get your money back afterward, based on the excuses I was given and how they kept escalating my issue until I was fed up. I think the hotel and OYO are working together in a scam, and I've seen complaints about OYO and other hotels online too. I'd avoid both. Try Goibibo or MakeMyTrip instead.
