Hotel Gowtham

I really like this hotel. It’s in the main area, so getting to the airport is easy, and everything is neat, fresh, and well maintained. The service is very good and they take good care of me. Srinath was especially helpful, and I really appreciated his support.

After staying at many hotels in Chennai, Bangalore, and Kerala, I wouldn't recommend this one, especially for families. The reception staff were very unprofessional and showed guests no respect. Routine room cleaning still hadn't happened after I waited 1.5 hours and called three times. Drinking water wasn't refilled in time either. Management should take note of the reception staff's behavior. Look for a better option and skip this hotel.

The buffet breakfast was limited and just okay for one meal, probably fine if you don't expect much. An omelette had to be requested and took an hour to arrive. Towels also only came after several follow-ups, and the service was poor throughout. The place looks old and was being renovated. The doors and locks were in a pathetic state. At reception, the man handling check-in acted like he was the boss of the universe. Management should either remove him or train him to treat guests properly. They also require a 500 INR security deposit and return it at checkout, a weird rule for this outdated property. The bathroom layout was awkward too. The closet is near a glass panel, leaving no room to place your legs, and the health faucet is positioned so strangely you need to know yoga to use the bathroom amenities. For this budget, book somewhere else and enjoy Coimbatore and its people instead of staying in this place without peace of mind.

Check-in and checkout were smooth, and the staff were ready to help with a smile throughout my stay. Special thanks to reception staff Raneesh, Ram, and Prabha for being so polite, professional, and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. A great experience, and I'd definitely recommend the hotel.
