Bella Vista Stay

We were 12 family members and booked four rooms for one day. Our only regret is that we didn’t book the place for the rest of our vacation in Ooty. It’s such a lovely spot, and even the staff were polite and well-mannered.

One of the best stays of my life. The hospitality was great, and it didn’t feel like we were away from home. The manager was very kind, and Mahalakshmi amma made extremely tasty, homely food. Please visit once.

The dinner was tasty, kudos to the chef. Nice vibes, and the host was helpful and available by phone whenever we had a concern. Ideal for a family group stay.

The homestay was in a good location, and we stayed two nights, but we were very disappointed by the way we were treated. We were seven people with two small children, and because the area was unfamiliar, we got scared staying there. The caretaker didn’t arrive until after 7 pm, and we had to call several times to get tea, which came after 7:30. In the evenings we never saw the hosts around the property. We also borrowed a knife once to cut a cake and returned it, but the caretaker always acted as if we were taking things from the property. They confirmed we could make food for our child, then said, “you will make for child but you will eat that we will not allow,” which was insulting. We ordered rice, dal, boiled potato, boiled egg, and alu gobi fry, and had repeatedly confirmed the menu when ordering. They refused to serve rice, saying, “you haven't ordered rice.” After many requests, they finally brought it at 10:30 pm. If we hadn’t ordered it, where did that rice come from? We’ve stayed in many homestays around India and never had this kind of experience. A homestay should feel like home, but that word doesn’t fit this place.
