De Rock Jungle Living Resort

Mr. John helped us plan the city tour and viewpoints, and the food was great. We arrived late, but they still got lunch ready right away. The buffet dinner was excellent too. The location is superb, right by Lambs Rock and surrounded by tea estates. There are lovely views from the rooms and open areas. Our room was clean, and hotel water was available. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at De Rock with my parents, even though we came in May when the weather wasn’t at its best. The cottage was nice, and Charles uncle, John uncle, and all the service staff were really friendly. There’s also a family of four cats if you’re into cats. It’s peaceful because it’s a little way out of the city, though still reachable and not far per day. Lamb's Rock view point is only a three-minute walk away. I was happy with the food choices and would love to come back.

We stayed in the Rain Forest room on the breakfast plan, and it was worth every penny. The owner and staff were so welcoming, and the home-cooked buffet food was delicious. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, just like the website pictures. You can walk straight from the property into the tea garden, and the night city view from the sitting area is breathtaking. Kids will enjoy the four cuddly cats there. Excellent on every front, highly recommended.

It’s a peaceful green spot with great views of the hills, tea estate, and deep forest. It’s away from the tourist rush in ooty and coonoor, but still has all the amenities. It felt at least 2-3 degrees cooler than coonoor. Owner Mr. Charles is well learned and a thorough gentleman, and the staff are always ready to help. There are a few pet cats and kittens, too.
