Peninsula Holiday Resorts by OYO Rooms

The one thing that seemed good was the pool, though it was loaded with chlorine. If that counts as good, you can imagine the rooms and surroundings. The place smelled so bad that we weren't comfortable even going for a walk. A month ago, six of us stayed there with friends. We got two rooms with queen beds, but it was a cramped, uncomfortable stay. We'd paid 6K in advance based just on the website photos. They'd said there'd be a fridge, but we had to carry a 165 L one from the ground floor up to our room on the first floor. There's no restaurant, and nothing within walking distance, so ordering food online helped. The place is right where you enter Kovalam road from ECR. I'd rather walk all the way back to Chennai, at night or in the midday heat, than stay here again.

There was lots of open space inside the resort, including room to play with the kids and a small play area for them. We could park right in front of our room, which was the best part. It's a decent resort if you come without high expectations, and you'll be satisfied.

People would come by at night and ask for money as a bribe. The pool was awful, the room was dirty, and room service was worse than ever. This was the worst experience I've had in my life. If negative ratings were allowed, I'd give it the highest one.

My friends had a weekend party there, and we had a nice experience. The resort people kept things neat and clean, made us comfortable, and provided good service. It seems like one of the more budget-friendly resorts on Chennai ECR.
