At checkout, management denied that I had reported the broken shower fitting and wanted ₹2,500-3,000 for a shower tap that costs around ₹500. I had told room service as soon as I noticed the shower was already broken before I used it. The receptionist was rude and not guest-friendly, and there wasn’t proper seating in reception despite the standard tariff. Hotel Bombay Inn, Cuttack has unfair charges and creates unnecessary trouble for guests. I would not book here.

I’m writing as secretary of the Indian medical Association Odisha State branch at Cuttack. One of our official delegates was staying at your hotel for the 75th State conference, February 6 to 8th. During checkout yesterday evening, that is 7th February, he was treated badly and told he could not leave until the bill was paid. As head of a professional organisation like IMA, I find this utterly disgusting and wouldn’t expect this behavior from a three star hotel in Cuttack.

For a short stay or business trip, this is a decent, quiet option with basic amenities and a pleasant atmosphere. Hotel Bombay Inn at College Square, Cuttack is tidy and well maintained, with clean, decent rooms and generally helpful staff. Prices are a bit high for the area, though the experience justifies the cost to some extent.
