Lhakyi and her daughter made DukeRaj homestay feel like a second home. They were so kind, invited me to spend time with them, and kept giving me gifts. They helped me get around town and took me for tea and coffee. I was lucky to celebrate Diwali with them too. I had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back and visit. Thank you so much :)
I spent two lovely days at DukeRaj Homestay, and Lhakyi Aunty treated me like her own son from the moment I arrived. She made sure I had everything I needed. Her home-cooked meals were the highlight, full of flavor and made with so much care, and her adorable dogs were a joy to be around. The rooms were cozy, very clean, and comfortable after a day out. Wi-Fi was excellent and the bathroom was great too. It was an unforgettable stay, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. If you want a home away from home in Darjeeling, this is a great choice.
I arrived sick and exhausted, looking for somewhere to recover, and the owner Lakhi took me in and cared for me like her own son. I'm so grateful for her kindness and compassion when I needed it. It feels like I have family in Darjeeling now. The room was spacious and clean too. I'd recommend it completely.
The rooms are down a steep slope, about 250 meters, and they're in the basement. They felt cramped and claustrophobic, almost suffocating.
The food was delicious, and the rooms were spotless, cozy, and warm. The owner was humble, kind, and well behaved, which made the stay feel like home. I had a peaceful, pleasant time at Dukeraj Homestay and would definitely return. Highly recommend it.
