OYO 19553 Snowdale

Beds here are super comfortable, and the food is great. The staff take good care to serve everything right in your room. The restaurant view isn't much, but the local market is very close. Rooms and bathrooms are a little compact, yet it's a great place overall 👍.

The place was clean, cozy and comfortable for resting, and the food was very good, freshly made just before mealtime. The only real problem was slow service. Breakfast was at 11, and even when I asked, they wouldn't turn on the water heater.

There's no view, just a street outside, and the thin glass and iron windows do little to keep the room warm. The washroom has no ventilation. The rooms are shabby and overpriced. I paid 1500 for one that, in any other circumstances, I wouldn't have paid more than 800 for. It might do for a one-night stop at the end of a trip, but this was a very poor choice.

My sister fell ill, and while she tried to recover before our journey home, we wanted to keep a room for a few hours rather than go around town. They charged us for a whole day for those few hours. We had no choice, so we agreed. We were glad just to get out of the house after two years of COVID restrictions, but the hotel room was worse than a dharamshala. Nothing worked, including the intercom, geyser and TV, and the windows were tied shut with wire. The reception staff were awful. We nearly missed our train because they couldn't arrange a car, even though they'd offered to arrange one. We could have walked 20 metres and found a cab ourselves. If you're booking ahead, avoid this place.
