The service was awful, and the owners’ behaviour was the worst part. They weren’t helpful at all. Ask for water and they tell you to buy it, or need a bit of help when you’re in trouble and they charge you. There was no toilet paper or soap in the bathroom either. There’s no parking, so you have to walk nearly 20 minutes up a very steep road, which makes carrying luggage difficult. Derjeeling has many room options, so please don’t choose this homestay.

The view is fabulous, and the rooms were awesome. The food was really good too. Uncle and Aunty treated us so warmly we never felt far from home.

It’s decent, probably better than decent. A lot of that is simply Darjeeling itself, though. Wherever you stay, in whichever room, Darjeeling is Darjeeling.

Clean and nice, though it does feel a little expensive for an average person.
