Villa Everest

We spent four lovely days here. The hotel has a cozy chalet feel, with warm wooden floors and a charming heritage character. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff were attentive, room service came quickly, and the food was excellent. It’s also only a short walk from the mall.

The room had a great vintage feel, and the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. It’s a nice place right in the heart of Darjeeling, though the food is on the expensive side. My room was in the basement even though I’d asked for a higher floor. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable, with an unstable connection and internet that didn’t work properly.

The views from our room, the restaurant, and the terrace were fantastic, and the restaurant food was very good. This heritage building did get a little chilly, so bringing extra layers would help, though we appreciated the heater they provided. The hotel is in a quieter spot with better views of Kanchenjunga, about a 10-minute walk from Mall Road. The staff were wonderful, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The food and service were great, and the restaurant is especially nice to look at, with a lovely patio too. The hotel is a little uphill, but Mall Road is only a 7-8 minute walk away. We had an amazing stay.
