Hotel Pooja International

The night reception was unwelcoming and unprofessional. I believe the staff member was Chandrashekhar (dark-complexioned person); his cold manner didn’t feel appropriate for someone working in hospitality. The ₹3000 nightly tariff felt far too high for what we got. The food was very bad, nowhere near what I’d expect from a 3-star hotel. The complimentary breakfast was especially poor: food on a plate, tea in paper cups, water in paper glasses, and sambar served like plain water in paper bowls. The presentation and service were completely unprofessional. The washroom was uncomfortable to use, with leakage, dirty floors, and poor hygiene. The damaged spring mattress was also extremely uncomfortable and made it hard to sleep. Basic comfort should be there at this price. Hygiene, food, service, and comfort all fell far below 3-star standards. This stay wasn’t worth the money, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless serious improvements are made.

We booked Pooja International during our Mumbai to Kerala drive for an overnight break, unsure what to expect. It turned out to be a very good stay, so we returned there on the drive home too. The basement parking was safe and good, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and a bit old. We didn’t eat or drink anything at the hotel.

The food tasted good, but getting it was a struggle. A plain roti took 15 minutes and arrived cold, and we had to ask twice for water. The room service phone goes unanswered, and restaurant service really sucks. Rooms are okay.

The location, rooms, and food were okay, but the complimentary breakfast was a bluff. I stayed for about 15 days and got the same menu every morning. It was so repetitive that it made me want to skip breakfast and lose my appetite. I gave feedback, but nothing changed and nothing will change.
