The balcony had a beautiful view, and we enjoyed sitting there. The food was good, but the rooms were just okay. Toiletries were cheap, the sheets and blanket were a bit dirty, and the towel was damaged. The reception staff were extremely rude. The boys there seemed illiterate and nonsensical, always ready to argue using abusive language. We saw them behave stupidly with some customers ourselves. The OWNER FAMILY (SARDARS) just stayed silent and watched. That was the worst part.

The views are wonderful, whether you're looking out from the hotel grounds or through the big room windows and balconies. Parking is available. There are around five Wi-Fi networks, but the connection and speed are only okay, and internet access isn't guaranteed. Geyser water comes from both the washbasin and main tap. The restaurant food wasn't good at all, and it was expensive. Across from the bus stand, Satyam Restaurant serves good vegetarian food at a very reasonable price. There was no electric kettle in any room, which seems like a major drawback for such a pricey hotel, especially in the extreme cold. There's no aqua guard water either, so you'll need packaged drinking water.

Parking was the troublesome part. The street leading to the hotel is very narrow, so it's better to use the public lot, which costs an extra Rs. 400 per night. The hotel is just 50 mtrs from mall road. Room service was very good, and the rooms were good for the price. The food was tasty and economical.

I booked at the last minute for an extended weekend and wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be a good experience. Our Executive Room was comfortable with a great view of the mountains and valley, room service was decent, and the food was good. At places like this, ordering desi dishes such as paratha, mix veg, or daal fry is a safe bet. The front desk wasn't much help with arranging a cab or scooty for sightseeing. The hotel is high up on a hill on mall road, and cabs aren't allowed there. The alley is too narrow for vehicles, and it's an uphill walk, with no help carrying bags between the cab and hotel. Still, during the season, this hotel isn't a bad choice.
