The shuttle only runs until around 8 PM, and since the hotel is a bit far from Mall Road, getting back at night was a real hassle. That was one more problem on top of a stay that felt nowhere near four-star quality. Several guests on our floor were also taking complaints to reception. After we complained about the first room, the staff showed us newer rooms and upgraded us. They were decent, but the service issues carried on. We had asked reception to clean our room before going sightseeing, yet it was still untouched when we came back 4-5 hours later. When we called, they just said they would “check.” The first room had almost no ventilation, a terrible smell, and fungus on the sheets and pillows. The bathroom was worse, with green buildup around the basin and very dirty toilet corners. The towels looked and smelled used. We asked for fresh sheets, but the replacement was in poor shape too, and the blanket looked too unhygienic to use. I barely slept that night. Breakfast the next morning was poor in taste and quality, with hardly any choice, and the restaurant food remained disappointing throughout our stay. It felt like a basic budget hotel meal, not what you'd expect at a four-star place. We even thought about leaving, though we'd booked three days. The price was far too high for what we got, and service was close to zero. Staff seemed untrained, management was poor, and hygiene was unacceptable. The experience spoiled our vacation, and I feel I wasted my hard-earned money. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a real four-star stay. Don't rely blindly on the positive online reviews, they were hard to believe after this. Please take this seriously before booking.

We were six families staying for two nights last week, and it was the most horrible experience of our lives. The rooms were dirty, the AC wasn't working, and the flush didn't work either. This place doesn't even compare with guest houses costing 500-600 rupees. When we reached Mall Road at 9 pm, our tour manager said tempo travelers couldn't go to the hotel and that a car would pick us up. The hotel manager then said there was no pickup, so we had to walk two kilometers with children. At reception, the staff laughed at our complaint and said it wasn't their concern. When we argued, they got offended and threatened us, saying, “HUM KYA SKTE HE APKO MALUM NHI HAI, AB DEKHO HUM KYA KRTE HE.” We were really scared, especially since the main reception boy was drinking liquor in front of us. We had to arrange for our luggage to be brought from Mall Road ourselves at 2:30 in the night. The hotel served no food, so we ordered online at 1 pm; the children ate at 2:00 pm, while all the adults went to sleep without eating. At checkout we hired a tempo and sent our luggage ourselves again. The receptionist and his helper were very rude, and when we complained about the staff, the manager switched off his phone. Please don't stay here. It didn't feel safe.

Ms. Bharti at the front desk was so kind about accepting my last-minute cancellation at Country Inn Mussoorie. After my call went unanswered, she called me back herself, then helped me sort out the cancellation payment. She was honest, helpful, and went beyond what I expected.

The place has a stunning location and the room itself was beautiful, but the service and food made the stay miserable. We arrived on time for our 1:45 PM check-in and didn't get the keys until 3:00 PM. While waiting, I checked on the room and saw housekeeping folding used towels to put back in the bathroom instead of replacing them with clean ones. That's unhygienic and unacceptable. The service was pathetic, the food quality was poor, and the whole experience was a disaster. I'd give negative stars if I could. Don't book here.

I had a wonderful time here. The rooms were pristine, the service was exceptional, and the location made it easy to explore. A very nice hotel, highly recommend! 🏨✨😊
