Hotel Doon Regency

The linen was dirty and hadn’t been changed after the previous guest, and housekeeping was pathetic. The paint was peeling, the woodwork had faded, and there was no complimentary water or tea kettle. This 20 year old property has had no maintenance. The online pictures are misleading, and I believe the reviews are paid. We were stuck there for one night after booking through Shanvi Hospitality. This deteriorating hotel isn’t worth even a free stay. Stay away.

We booked for a group and the stay was a disaster. They’d promised a proper kitchen, but on arrival we were shown a dirty terrace area and told that was the kitchen. It had no proper lighting, wasn’t clean, and lacked basic facilities. The whole place was unhygienic and poorly maintained. It wasn’t worth the money, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Avoid this hotel if hygiene, comfort, or honesty matter to you.

The room we were first given wasn’t to our liking, but after we asked, we got a clean executive room. We had a comfortable stay, and the staff were helpful and cooperative. The person at reception was very good too. I’d recommend booking here if you’re staying in Dehradun.

The rooms were spotless and the whole property felt fresh and well cared for. Staff made us feel valued, and from arrival onward the team was warm and kind. Their thoughtful gestures and prompt help kept the stay stress-free. I really appreciated how carefully they handled cleanliness, which made things feel comfortable and relaxing. The hospitality was outstanding. I’d happily recommend Doon Regency to anyone visiting the area.
