We found the food decent and cheap, and the service and hospitality helped make up for the drawbacks. The hotel is in a central, roadside part of Dehradun, so expect plenty of traffic noise. Rooms are big enough to feel cold, so bring suitable clothes. There’s a huge parking area, bigger than I think any 5 star in Dehradun has, plus a dedicated EV station that charges 2 EV at once. Good for a couple of days. There’s also a dedicated Govt. Bar. If you drink like Tanker, I’d bring your own bottle; occasional drinkers should be fine at the Bar. Cheers!

The restaurant stood out: the service was excellent, the food came piping hot and tasted delicious, and portions were generous. Both veg and non-veg dishes were nice, and prices seemed fair since one dish could be shared by two people. We stayed from 3rd-5th of January in a deluxe-something room. The property and room were huge, though the bathroom was comparatively tiny. There was AC, but a room-heater would have helped in Uttarakhand winters. They provided heavy blankets and a water container, but no electric-kettle. For a budget stay it was comfortable, though a room heater and a kettle with tea and coffee kits would improve things.

The economy room was fine for a night’s sleep and felt like value for money. The railway station is Pass hai. The geyser sometimes didn’t work, and at other times it was hard to turn off the running tap. If you’re tall, sitting on the commode may be a struggle. I might try one of the higher rooms next time.

The bathroom was awful, with palm-sized cockroaches and spiders. There were no shower heads, and the mosquito net was torn.

For an economy room, it was good value. The room was spacious and airy, and had a balcony. The food portion was good, enough for one person.
