Staff were polite and helpful, and the rooms were a decent size with a king-size bed and kept clean. The breakfast spread was very good, with South Indian and North Indian dishes, fresh fruit, eggs, toast, and tea at an affordable add-on price. I stayed with my family for 2 nights at Hotel MJ Grand Inn. Its location is strategic, almost right on Rajpur Road, with eateries and bakeries just a 2-minute walk away. Gandhi Park is across the road, a nice spot for morning walks and enjoying the winter sun. I’d highly recommend it for business or leisure trips.

The food was excellent, the location is within walking distance of Clock Tower, and the staff were polite. The service was excellent too. Almost the best, must try once.

They charge 500 if a key is missing. Check carefully before you check in, since other hidden charges could also catch you by surprise at checkout.

I kept coming back because the staff used to be nice, even though the rooms never felt worth the price. The old staff have been replaced, and the new team is rude and arrogant. Amit on the night shift acted like he was being made to work against his will, and spoke very rudely.

Rajpur Road is a convenient base, with Ghantaghar/Paltan Bazaar about 1 Km away and The Buffet Eating Corner, Bakemasters by Sunrise(of famous Sunrise Bakery), and Ellora's Bakery close by. The area feels posh, and the hotel is family friendly. We booked ahead by phone and our rooms were ready when we arrived. Room service was regular and on time during morning breakfast hours. The breakfast buffet was tasty and good quality, though I'd have liked a few more choices. We tried several restaurant dishes: Tandoori Platter, Mattar Mushroom, Chana Masala, Veg Biryani, Raita, Veg Noodles, Chilly Potato, Dry Manchurian, and Dal Tadka. They were all worth trying, and the taste, quality, and portions made the prices feel fair. The staff were courteous. A good place to stay in Dehradun.
