The food was the worst part. I ordered only dal and roti and asked them not to make it spicy or oily. The rotis were burnt, the dal was cooked in oil instead of water, and it had so much salt I couldn’t eat it. That’s what happens if a kid makes the food. I didn’t expect an expensive hotel, but I still had a bad experience. It’s a cheaper option, but basic things weren’t provided. The rooms and sheets weren’t clean, the inside of the almira was dirty, and the TV didn’t work. Only one room had a fan, and the owner seemed to think having one was a luxury. The toilet seat was broken, and the doors were very difficult to close from inside. I hurt my fingers trying to lock the catch. There were bugs or ants, I’m not sure which, and they bit me while I was on the bed. There are two kids who seem underage maintaining the place, and the owner comes and goes.

We booked three rooms on the 2nd floor for our vacation, but rainwater covered the room floors. There was no electricity or backup power all night, so we stayed in the dark. The toilet also had some water issue.

The rooms were spacious, tidy, and clean, with a very nice ambience. I loved my stay and would definitely recommend the hotel. The one issue was that the geyser didn’t work, so I couldn’t bathe. Also, the bedsheets were too cold to sleep under, and it would be much better to have a small blanket on the bed.

The service here is a disgrace. Insects and animals were wandering in the room, the rooms were pathetic, and the staff were rude. The carpets were worn out too. Staying here feels like a punishment, and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. A pitiful excuse for hospitality.

The location is prime, with parking available, and it’s a photogenic spot. The staff’s behavior was amazing, and everything else, from the food and rooms to the services, was great. Food was delicious and came very quickly. Because of the cold weather, they served us hot drinking water. Geyser and heater facilities are available. Extremely wonderful experience, and I’d love to stay here again if I revisit Dhanaulti.
