Just a 2-minute walk from Mall Road, the hotel was very conveniently placed. I loved the mountain view, and the prices were affordable for the excellent service. A great stay and good value for money.

The room looked much better in the photos than it did in person. It was old and dirty, and faced the parking lot rather than nature. When we checked in for the first time, the room cost 2300 rupees. We asked right away whether there was a heater, and were told yes. After asking several more times, we had to wait for it to be brought up. Then, after we left the room, we called to ask about using it and were told it would cost 300 rupees! Have you ever seen that? Do hotels really do this? We argued about it for an hour. It spoiled our mood and holiday. The way guests were treated was bad.

The location was the one good thing about this average hotel. We booked two rooms during the off season, in the first week of March. There are three room tiers, and we got the lowest, deluxe rooms. They first asked ₹3000, then agreed to ₹2800, or ₹1400 per room. The rooms were in the basement, with beautiful balcony views, but upkeep was basically nonexistent. They smelled bad, the bathroom taps leaked, and there was no exhaust fan, so bathroom smells lingered. I wouldn’t say the hotel was worth 1000 bucks. There’s no parking of their own, but they have leased parking for free. Their driver can park the car nearby. The staff were helpful: one carried our luggage, and another guided me uphill from the parking area to the hotel when their driver was out for lunch. Reception staff were courteous.

The valley view from the room was beautiful, and the hotel was clean with very helpful staff. We enjoyed every moment there. Without this hotel, our short trip to Mussoorie wouldn’t have been a success.
