The people are what made DATSTOP special for us. The hosts were generous and fun, and we're still friends with them. Druv, Mohit and Nikhil took great care of us. They helped us get and set up a sim card, suggested local sights and things to do, and taught us a lot about Indian history and culture. They also helped us learn some Hindi, figure out fair prices, and avoid scams. Everyone was cheerful, friendly, helpful, and ready when we needed something. It was one of the best priced hostels in Delhi too. We loved the food, especially the fresh vegetarian dishes and wide choice of food and drinks. It was easily the best food we tried in Delhi, and a great price. Thanks to cooks Pawan and Nitin! The location was another plus for us. It's in a safe, quiet area near the airport, and the airport taxi cost only 300IRP. Markets and villages are a 15 minute walk down the road, and tuk tuk or uber rides to Delhi landmarks were extremely cheap. It's close enough to explore the city but far enough away from its noise and hustle. The bedrooms are huge, with ensuites and showers. The beds were comfortable, with privacy curtains, a lamp, and powerpoints. The keyed lockers could fit a whole backpack, though we felt safe leaving our things out too. DATSTOP is fairly new, in a large 3 story building with beautiful paintings. There are lots of common spaces, including an outside terrace with a swinging chair, where they held a bonfire every night, a floor just for ladies, and a huge movie theatre room where you could watch anything anytime. We had a fun bollywood movie night with other guests. Mohit brought snacks and taught us bollywood dance moves. There was always good music, great wifi, laundry and sim card service, and free towels. The facilities were cleaned and maintained perfectly every day. They asked for suggestions on what to improve because they want to get better each day, but we couldn't think of anything. We highly recommend staying here in Delhi. It outdoes every other hostel we've been to, and we can't wait to go back. 10/10.
