Hotel Grand Lawson

The hotel name has changed to cozy cave hotel, and I didn’t like the stay much. The billing was confusing: the website showed one thing, but what they charged was different. They also asked for extra breakfast payment, even though I’d already paid for it online along with the hotel booking.

I booked a particular room but was given a third-rate one, the sort that should cost 200-300 bucks. It smelled bad, the sheets were dirty, and the washroom hadn’t been cleaned. The staff were very unprofessional. If I could, I’d give this place zero stars. Please don’t book it.

The aircon didn’t work, and the rest of the stay felt like a daily fight to hold on to whatever I’d saved on the room price. I spent nearly a month in India, and this was the worst hotel for scams, especially on the last day when they don’t even have to pretend to be legit. Pay exact change, confirm meal portion sizes by having them repeat them, and don’t pay anything in advance. They may bill you for the supposedly free breakfast and push lots of “absolutely free” tours. Avoid their arranged taxis unless you want to argue with the driver over whether you still owe the inflated price you paid the hotel.

lol 😂 I paid Rs.1000 for two people to stay, and this is what I got. The geyser wasn’t working, the blankets weren’t properly washed, and there’s no parking. They promised food in 20 minutes, but it took 1½hr 😕. The landline didn’t work because the lift was under construction. I think hotel aerolook is much better, and it’s just one step up from here 🙏🙏🙏🙏
