Hotel Hi Life

The room was far below standard for cleanliness and upkeep, despite the website pictures suggesting the opposite. Bedsheets, pillow covers, and blankets looked untidy and weren't clean. The bathroom door was broken, and paint was coming off in places on the walls. I booked through Oyo and wouldn't recommend the hotel. OYO should check what these places are actually like before listing them.

I booked this hotel for my family because it was near the railway station and central Delhi. It was a good choice: the hotel was really good, the staff were helpful, and the price was good. If you're looking for a hotel near the station and Old Delhi, you can book it.

The attendant asked me for payment the next day even though I'd paid 1300 per night online. I had to call the manager and show the receipt before it was sorted out. The manager also switched off the AC from his control panel and only turned it back on after I insisted. He said it was winter outside so the AC couldn't run, but whether to turn it on or off should be my choice. The room keys were poor, the lift didn't work, and anyone nearby could hear sounds from the rooms, so privacy was bad. The pillows were awful, the bathroom wasn't good, the bed smelled, the sheets were dirty, and some electrical switches were damaged. Breakfast was very bad and unhygienic, and the waiter was dirty. Poor hotel and bad service.

The room itself was a letdown: sticky floors, dust everywhere, filthy towels, and no bottled water. They only provided water in a flask. The restroom was okay, but there was no hot water, just warm. The walls barely blocked sound, and I had to listen all night to two friends next door arguing about their girlfriends. I wish I hadn't been put beside them. I came to Delhi for an embassy appointment and chose a cheaper place because I expected to be out exploring, only coming back to sleep and change. It looked like a better option through Oyo, but the locality was awful, on a messy, dirty, narrow one-way road. I tried to console myself that the rooms might be better. I absolutely hated the place. I'd spend another 500 bucks to stay somewhere else.
