What stands out about Shyama is how seriously Mr Adhil takes feedback. He has an unusually thorough way of reviewing issues and responding to them, and that seems to be why problems get addressed despite the place having plenty of room to improve. I shared comments about the rooms with him directly. I rated those rooms three stars, but the way feedback leads to action was such an outlier that it brought my rating up to five.

I felt welcome and safe here as a solo female traveller. The staff were warm and clearly concerned about my safety. I stayed for two nights and would recommend the place without hesitation.

It's right on the main road, so getting a cab is easy. The hotel also offers guests free breakfast, with a different spread each day. Poha is available daily, while idli, poori, nature, and parota are served in rotation. The breakfast was good, the rooms were good, and there's a kettle in the room. A great option near IIT Delhi.

I found the stay affordable and hospitable while working at IIT Delhi. My barsati room was well maintained, though the food could use some improvement.
