The Blue Tokai coffee shop downstairs was excellent, and the security guards were kind and professional. The neighborhood felt safe, though getting to most Delhi attractions takes a while. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant because several reviews mentioned food poisoning. Another couple in our group tried it and didn’t get sick, but said the menu was limited. After repeated complaints, we were moved to a much nicer room, though by then the frustration had already overshadowed that gesture. For what we paid, the value just wasn’t there. The online photos didn’t match reality, and the lack of cleanliness, upkeep, and hygiene makes this hard to recommend at its current rate. We’ve stayed in hotels across Africa and India, including some at much lower prices, and this was one of my most disappointing stays. The pictures online seemed either very old or heavily edited. Our first room smelled awful: the chairs and cabinets had a strong urine odor, and the room felt damp and moldy. The bedding seemed moist and unclean. Water had visibly warped the floor and bathroom door, which was difficult to open and close. We initially tried to look past those problems because we had a Western toilet and overhead shower. But on the first day, the shower flooded the whole bathroom. I unplugged the hair dryer because I was worried about electrocution. Staff found the drain clogged with a thick buildup of hair, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned between guests. The drain also wasn’t at the lowest point, so water couldn’t run out properly. Staff came promptly, but mopped up the dirty water with a bath towel and no disinfectant, dragging it across the floor. Later we realized the refrigerator stopped running when we left because the power shut off with the keycard. We had food stored in it, and my husband later became ill. We strongly suspect the fridge going off was the reason, and it felt like a cost-cutting measure by the hotel. After that, we wore shoes inside because the floor didn’t feel clean. Two days later, dirty toilet water started leaking around the base. Staff initially dismissed it, took a long coffee break, and only came to deal with it later. Again, they wiped the floor with a bath towel and no disinfectant. When we asked for clean towels, we only got some of what we requested. The wall-mounted push dispenser held low-quality liquid soap that felt diluted and smelled unpleasant. The lift was malfunctioning during our stay, too. I know the building is older, but proper upkeep and small improvements could maintain its quality and justify its rating. The hotel’s online appearance doesn’t reflect the actual stay. The main disappointment was the room and its basic maintenance. We tried to overlook the problems at first, but water, plumbing, and cleanliness issues kept piling up. I can’t recommend it, especially at this price.

We spent four days here, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work for three of them. We asked the staff every day and pleaded for help, but it took three days to fix. Hot water was another major problem: the hotel turns it off at night, and staff wouldn’t leave it running even after we begged. Garam pani nahi mile ga raat ko means you won’t get hot water at night. Is hot water really a luxury in a hotel? Sirf garam pani manga hai heera moti nahi, we only asked for hot water, not diamonds and pearls. We got so frustrated that we asked for a partial refund. Mr. Pankaj, the front desk manager, said complaint kardo koyi baat nahi, meaning “file a complaint, I don’t care.” That left me unsure whether the hotel cares about service or its customers. Wi-Fi and hot water are basic needs, not luxuries. This was a really bad experience, and I won’t stay here again.

The door alarm kept going off through the night, so I couldn’t get any rest. I was also disappointed that a room costing over 5,000 didn’t have a proper working lock on the door. I expected basic security and comfort at that price, and neither was provided. Management needs to fix these maintenance problems right away.

For six days, my fiancé and I had unreliable hot water and Wi-Fi that didn’t work at all for the first four days. The hotel turns off the water boiler each evening to save money, so showering after a certain time means cold water. We had to keep badgering staff to turn it back on. Hot water is a basic expectation. Every day we heard that the Wi-Fi was being worked on, but nothing improved. The rest of the place wasn’t much better. The TV had hardly any channels, the bathroom sink smelled like dirty sewage, and breakfast was weak. The building looked unfinished and badly maintained, like it shouldn’t have been open to guests. When my fiancé raised these issues, manager Pankaj said, “I don’t care about the reputation of the hotel.” That says plenty. He was rude, arrogant, unprofessional, clueless, and a total clown. Pankaj has no business in hospitality. This was an absolute dump and one of my worst stays. The place cuts corners and ignores guests. Don’t stay here, you’ll regret booking it. I also don’t want a copy-paste response from the hotel, so please save yourself the hassle and get lost.
