OYO 13235 The Golden Door

The location in GK part 2 New Delhi was the one good thing. The rooms themselves were ordinary, nothing special. At around 3:30 AM, a staff member made a blank call to the landline asking for someone named Sonu. Later, after dinner, I found the main entrance locked and stood outside in the rain for about 15 minutes. Earlier, the front desk person had a pricing issue with Oyo and refused to let me check in for four hours. He kept my luggage and said I couldn't leave to find another hotel. The whole day was wasted. I finally got in at 6:00 pm after mmt staff intervened. Oyo's call center refused to help, saying I had booked through MMT. I've never had such a traumatic experience. If MMT staff hadn't stepped in, I would have taken Oyo and the hotel to consumer court. I hope I never go through this again. I'm not returning to this property or any other OYO managed one.

The rooms are a little old, but they're okay. The area is nice, though the place can be hard to find using maps. If you're stuck, call the hotel directly or ask someone nearby. The attendant knows the location better than you do, and more than Oyo customer care.

The staff were understanding and very helpful, and the location was good. But in room 201 there was no AC, the bed linen was torn, and something seemed to be biting me under the sheets. The bathroom faucet was broken.

A decent option for a short visit or a work trip. My room was tidy, and the staff were very helpful.
