Sunroof Residency by OYO Rooms

The one reason to book here might be that it's opposite Max Hospital, gate no 4/5. The room itself had a broken washroom door, a non-working AC, filthy sheets and towels, and broken window panes covered with newspapers. I booked through Oyo rooms, and they were incredibly unprofessional. This hotel is an Oyo Wizard member, but they don't answer calls. It's been more than three weeks and I don't even want to remember the other problems.

I booked seven days with pay at property, then got a call on check-in morning from someone who knew all my details. He said they were full and couldn't risk holding the room for seven days, so he asked me to pay 5000 in advance. I checked his details and paid. At the property, they said they hadn't received anything. I showed the receipts at reception, but they wouldn't accept them, and I ended up paying another 5000 because it was my first day at Job. Nearby shopkeepers told me I wasn't the first, and said this was a systematic scam. Oyo's customer team didn't help. That was my last stay at an Oyo property, and I'll advise friends and family to avoid them too. I know not every property owner is a scammer, but I can only speak from what happened to me.

We cut our stay short because of the problems, but the owner kept insisting we pay the full amount as a deposit. OYO didn't help either: we called technical support and stayed on hold for over 30 minutes without an executive answering. The bathroom was badly built and maintained, with a leaky shower, no tissue, and insects and mould on the roof and floor tiles. The room's odd shape made it awkward to stay in. The bed sheet was torn and there was no soap. The AC wouldn't go below 16 degrees, so it was either too cold or too hot. The receptionist wasn't dressed professionally and wasn't wearing a mask. The owner was rude. It's not the first disappointing OYO partner I've stayed at, and it made me wonder how OYO could take this hotel on. Their standards have dropped in recent years. A very bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Why list the hotel on Oyo if the owner doesn't want those bookings or isn't happy with Oyo's rates? He wouldn't accept my booking and said it wasn't showing in their portal, so I had to pay three times more on top of what I'd already paid through Oyo. I also saw other customers being turned away with the same blatant lie. A really bad experience.
