Hotel Abinash Deoghar

We came to Deoghar with my senior citizen parents and stayed at Hotel Abhinash, a short walk from Baba Baidyanath Temple. The lift and helpful staff made things especially convenient for them. Our triple-bedded room was spacious, clean, and equipped with AC, TV, geyser, intercom, and room service. The staff were warm and caring. The in-house restaurant served hygienic, delicious food, and the cook specially made Jain meals for us, which tasted excellent. The property also helped connect us with Panda ji (Pt. Shubham), who arranged puja in the temple campus and inside the holy Garbh Griha. Having darshan of Lord Shiva ji with my parents was heartfelt and unforgettable. It was a comfortable, soul-satisfying stay for senior citizens, and I highly recommend it to devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath Temple. Har Har Mahadev!

The location is ideal, close to Baba Mandir, but the service was very poor. There were lots of black sediments in the water when we used the bathroom. No towels were provided at check-in, so we had to ask for them. The rates also seemed a bit high compared with nearby hotels.

It’s a 4-5 minute walk to the temple, and car parking is available. We did have an electricity issue, but it was manageable.

The food was good overall, but getting it took a painful amount of time. They said the helpdesk response would take 5 minutes, but it was more like 30, even after repeated calls. Tea took an hour. The complimentary breakfast arrangement felt illogical: you choose one a-la-carte item, not everything is available, and only the low-priced items are offered. Anything more is chargeable, so don’t be taken in by the complimentary breakfast idea. Our two-day stay felt like hell and wasn’t worth the money. There was no TV service, water came in through the window, and staff hardly paid attention to complaints. The so-called Manager seemed least interested in dealing with them. Think carefully before booking; the stay was a headache.
