Rainforest Kanthalloor

I don’t understand how this resort got a star rating. They have no idea what customer service means. If you book through an online platform, the room shown may be a premium one with great views, but when you arrive they can give you any random room that isn’t worth what you paid. The front desk manager deserves special mention for his pathetic attitude.

For a quiet farm stay in Kanthaloor, this is a lovely place. My family enjoyed all the fresh fruit and pure cow’s milk in our tea. Thanks to aymootikka for the tasty food and to joseph for guiding us around the farm. A special thank you to the owners for giving us such a wonderful time.

The only bad part of our whole trip was this stay. We arrived in the evening after telling the manager we’d check in late, but the gate was locked and nobody was there. After we called, they said the caretaker was at the hospital, which was a lie, and we had to wait outside in the dark and cold while they worked out where the key was. Someone finally brought it after about 40-45 minutes. There was no electricity the whole time. The inverter was on, but it wasn’t enough, and it took four-five calls just to get the correct Wi-Fi password. I had to lock and unlock the gate myself. They tried to arrange breakfast through a neighbour guy, but it was delayed, so I cancelled it. We never met the manager; she acted as if everything was fine and took no responsibility. They just want our money, and everything else is our problem. I regret ignoring the negative reviews. I’ll never go back and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

A great family place, with a home stay on a one-acre fruit garden. Nice ambience and homely food.
