Hotel Hilltop Towers

The staff and management at The Hilltop Hotel took great care of us and fulfilled every request. They never asked for tips, which is rare these days. The rooms were super, and the service was hard to describe. I hope they keep it up. Best wishes! – Jagadeesan Palani

It felt like staying at home, with very kind and helpful staff. Mani at reception deserves a special mention for being so kind and answering all our questions. We stayed 3 days as a family and the location was perfect, close to the lake and market, with the main sights around the lake easy to reach on foot. The restaurant's food quality was top notch, with authentic South Indian food that the kids enjoyed too. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Kodaikanal.

We booked based on the Google reviews and stayed 2 days. After checking in around 10 AM, we left our luggage and went out. That evening we found the toilet hadn't been cleaned properly. The manager said there was no staff after 6 PM and told us to wait until 9 AM the next day. Very disappointing. They promised a hair dryer, but despite asking on both days, we never got one. The bathing area was cramped and much smaller than it looked in the photos. We were given only one toothbrush and paste, and had to keep calling for basics like a toothbrush, hair dryer, or toilet paper. Sometimes the room boys didn't answer. When we called reception, they were rude, hung up, and sent us back to the room boys. Both the male and female reception staff behaved rudely. The blankets looked fine on top, but were torn and worn underneath. The staff's attitude and service were disappointing, and we didn't have a comfortable stay.

The superior double room and bathroom were neat and well maintained, with daily cleaning. I stayed at Hilltop Towers, Kodaikanal for 2 days and really appreciated the service. All the staff did their jobs well. I'd definitely recommend this property.
