Hotel Holiday Peak

The rooms were dirty, facilities poorly kept, and basic hygiene seemed ignored. When problems came up, management was careless and didn't respond, while the staff were rude and offered no help. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Avoid it.

No hot water, and the customer service was really bad. We were treated like we weren't paying guests. A very bad experience.

The room looked good in the photos, but the stay was disappointing. The slope up to the hotel is very steep, and even a confident driver may find it hard to park in the basement. There’s a religious place right next door, with loud songs over speakers throughout the day. Since the room wasn’t soundproof, that noise really disrupted my stay. The rooms have some nice interior details and a false ceiling, but the lights didn’t work properly. The tube light set into the ceiling looked comical and spoiled the atmosphere. The towel and restroom also weren’t properly cleaned. I found hair on the towel and WC. There’s no fan, AC, or geaser, and the in-room telephone didn’t work. Although the hotel has a restaurant area, it wasn’t operating as one. Caretakers were using it as their kitchen and accommodation, and said they could buy ingredients and cook if asked. There aren’t restaurants or tourist spots nearby, so I had to order through delivery apps. The area felt a bit low end, and there was a group fight in the road at night. This place needs a lot of improvement.

The owner and caretaker were very welcoming, but the place still has a long way to go before it can really be called a hotel. It’s secluded from the kodaikanal centre, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There are hardly any amenities. Hot water is available only from 7 to 9 am, and after that you have to use a heating rode. Breakfast was included, but nothing was served on site. They went to get it from a random mess outside, and the crockery they gave us wasn’t clean. There’s a lot that needs improvement.
