OYO 13650 Hotel Sanandreas

We booked through OYO and stayed in Room No. 301 from 18/10/18 to 20/10/18. Breakfast is served in a shared dining area from 8:30 to 10:30, as a South Indian buffet. After that, dinner room service is delayed and the choices are only fried rice, noodles or chapatti. Yellow hot water is available only from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. We checked in at 3:00 P.M., but the floor hadn’t been mopped and the bed linen was dirty. They cleaned the floor and replaced the linen after we told them. Although car parking was listed as an amenity, we had to leave our car on the road, which also leads to other hotels. The road connecting to the hotel is in very bad shape.

We booked through OYO, and the email documents clearly said “FREE BREAKFAST,” but the hotel had no breakfast. The manager, “K. Manivannan,” told me to check with OYO. They gave us an underground room that was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned before the key was handed over. The door mats were filthy. I asked for them to be changed, but it took nearly 2 - 2.30 hours, and the replacements weren’t clean either. There were no towels, soap or basic bathroom supplies. The bathroom had no lights. When I asked for a glass of water, the glass wasn’t clean and there was hair inside it. A monkey came into the room through the broken balcony and took our lunch box. I told them it was on the ground outside the balcony and asked them to get it back, but they ignored me. I brought all of these issues to “K. Manivannan,” but he seemed careless and didn’t seem to care. It was a terrible experience.

The building is new and the rooms are neat, which are the only good points. Service is pathetic, and the tap water looks as if someone mixed turmeric powder into the tank. Check the water before paying. If you book online, ask about it and tell them you won’t pay if the water quality is as poor as I described.

The rude staff made this the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. They don’t seem to know what hospitality means. The rooms weren’t clean, there were no dustbins, and drinking water was only given when asked for, and then it was just regular water. Breakfast was late too. The bathing water was yellow, while the washroom water was too hot. I was also charged for a deluxe room but given a standard one. Think twice before choosing this hotel.
