We especially liked how quiet and peaceful the resort felt, a good fit for a weekend away or a family trip. The food had lots of choice and was delicious, and the pool was a nice place to unwind. Our room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed with modern amenities. The grounds were well cared for, with plenty of greenery, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and quick to assist.

The staff felt more like family than hosts, and the kitchen team served hot, delicious home-cooked food. They were accommodating with our dietary requests, and Dr chef girija, a celebrity chef and natural food specialist in holistic food, makes dishes without gas, electricity, or firewood. We got to try her signature recipes, from briyani and basundhi to idly, pongal, vada, and coffee. They were top knotch and authentic. Food, hospitality, and the view all get five stars from me. We felt safe throughout our stay. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly stable for such a remote villa, so it could work for a workcation. There's valet parking and plenty of space, which is rare in the hilly terrain of Kurinji Nagar. The valley view from the balcony of the Wood House or the Valley View Room is stunning, with mist rolling over the mountains in the morning. The villa is away from the main town's traffic, surrounded by lush gardens, yet has modern comforts. We stayed in the Wood House, which was cozy, with warm wooden interiors that suited the Kodaikanal weather. The room was spotless, the linens were fresh, and the decor had thoughtful details. It's a peaceful option for couples or families, while still close enough to the city center for convenience. Whether you're a honeymooning couple or a family wanting to bond over a campfire, it offers a balance of luxury and nature. I wanted to avoid the crowded, noisy commercial hotels, and Syamantac Villa gave me one of my most relaxing hill station stays.
