The hotel is a little pricey for a middle-class stay in India, but the rooms are mostly clean and offer decent value. There’s no elevator, and rooms may be on the 2nd or 3rd floor, though plenty of service boys can help with luggage. Meals aren’t included unless you pay for them when booking. The bar and restaurant are open most of the day, but food is only available at breakfast, lunch, and dinner times, not around the clock. Checkout is early at 10 AM, with an extension to 10:30. They’ll keep your bags at reception if you have a later flight and want to sightsee. INS Khukri and a small souvenir market are within 500 metres on foot, and Diu fort is a 1.3 km walk.

Hotel Smart, Diu is conveniently placed near both the beach and market, and it felt peaceful during my stay. My room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were polite and cooperative. Room service was quick. I had a very good experience, and it seems suitable for families or friends. If you want a comfortable, safe stay in Diu, Hotel Smart is one of the better options.

The location’s good, just a one-minute walk from the main road and near the INS Khukri. The room was clean and had a balcony overlooking an ordinary road. I didn’t try the food, but they heated mine for me, which I appreciated. There’s a pool at the back, though I didn’t use it. It’s budget friendly too.

The service was excellent and everything was very clean. They supplied plenty of soap, though there wasn’t any handwash in the bathroom.

The road leading to the hotel is very narrow. It needs improvement before it can offer three-star quality, though in a busy period it could work as a last option.
