We chose KGA Elite for a few nights while visiting family, after spending the first week of our Kerala trip on guided tours and staying in some of the finest hotels booked by the tour company. My wife and I had come back from the USA for the first time in 18 years, and we were in Kerala from February 13 to 25, 2026. We didn’t want to trouble family for accommodation, and reviews led us to book here in Thiruvalla. The hotel is in the heart of the city, within walking distance of shopping. It wasn’t a five-star hotel like the ones we’d stayed in the week before, but it didn’t disappoint. The service was remarkable, especially at the vegetarian restaurant where we had breakfast each morning. Bijesh M. looked after everything we needed and was always smiling. There’s plenty more I could say, but I’d end up writing a book. I hope to return sooner than last time, and I’d definitely stay at KGA Elite again.

Everything we tried tasted true to style without being too spicy, and the flavors stayed consistent. The food was delicious and worth the money. Egg Fried Rice, Garlic Prawns, Kung Pao Chkn, Mutton Biriyani, and Poratta were all extremely yum. A lot of restaurants could learn from this place.

We had a very comfortable stay in Thiruvalla, with plenty of parking and a rooftop bar and restaurant we really enjoyed. Sparsha Spa deserves a mention too. It’s one of the most professional spas in Kerala, in my experience. The doctor and therapists gave great guidance and tailored my treatment to what I needed. I’d call it the best family spa in the area. Highly recommended.

The rooms were dirty, and some of the lights didn’t work, leaving the lighting inadequate. There was no smart TV either. Club 7 is much better for service, location, and reasonable prices.

The service was decent and the ambiance still has some of its old charm, which made it nice to reminisce. I hadn’t been here for over 15-20 years, and nostalgia brought me back for lunch, but the meal was disappointing. This used to be a shining beacon for great food in Tiruvalla, with vibrant flavors and dependable quality, and held a special place for locals and people returning to town like me. Now the food feels average, as though the place has lost its soul and spark. The once-celebrated Elite Fish Curry lacked depth and seasoning, while the beef fry, once a favorite, was uninspired and underwhelming. I hope they take the opportunity to reflect and bring back what made them great. Until trusted peers give me rave reviews, I don’t think nostalgia alone will bring me back.
