We were 14 people hoping to spend three days exploring Kochi, and Peters Inn quoted us a price we could accept: 9000rs for two days. The receptionist was friendly and understood we were a group of friends on a trip. He arranged a separate space for all 14 of us, but only on the second day, even though we'd paid half four days earlier. The dormitory photos gave us a different impression. There are about 60 beds in the men's dorm and around 30 in the women's one. We weren't given proper bedspreads, or even the bath soap that was meant to be included. There was no privacy, and the cupboards under the cots had no locks. A safe locker costs extra. The bathrooms were cramped, with barely room to turn around. There was only a low-pressure shower, no bucket or mug, and when two or three people showered at once, it could barely fill a cup. There's no heater, and nowhere to hang clothes. The dorm lighting was poor, so we struggled to pack, and the AC units couldn't handle a 60-bed room. There weren't any extra fans either. It felt like the focus was on getting people in rather than improving the facilities. Curtains around each bed would give people some privacy, and lockers under the cots would help keep bags safe. Better lighting and more fans would make the dorm less stifling. A bucket and mug in the bathrooms would let people wash clothes, and a heater would be useful too. I hope this helps someone decide.

At Rs.350 per person per day, this is a low-cost air-conditioned dormitory in the middle of the city. I stayed two days while visiting Kochi. The restrooms were good, though the train-berth-style beds were a bit uncomfortable. Still, it's an option for budget travelers.

There was a bad smell throughout the place, and cleanliness was extremely poor. The rooms hadn't been cleaned properly, and the toilets were in terrible condition with a smell that was hard to bear. The unhygienic surroundings made it impossible for me to sleep peacefully. The whole place felt uncomfortable and unhealthy, with basic hygiene and upkeep neglected. A very disappointing stay. I wouldn't recommend this hostel unless its cleanliness and sanitation improve significantly.

The room was spotless, nicely designed, and had a wonderfully comfortable bed. Service was attentive and friendly throughout, from our easy check-in until we left. The location also made it simple to get out and explore. We had a great experience here, and I'd highly recommend it if you're after the best.

The main drawback is the upkeep. The rooms and shared areas weren't as clean as they should be, and the basic facilities don't come close to premium or even a strong mid-range stay. The upper berth was uncomfortable, especially if you're tall or have back problems. It's affordable and fine if you just need somewhere to sleep for a short stay or while in transit. The big advantage is how close it is to Kochi Metro, which makes getting around the city easy.
