Esses House A Luxury Home Stay

Esses House was a peaceful place to stay in Gangtok, away from the crowds but still convenient. It’s in Tadong, right beside the road, in a quiet and scenic area. MG Marg is easy to reach by a ₹35 sharing cab. I’d choose this over staying near MG Marg, where places can be crowded and overpriced. Our room was spacious, beautiful and well maintained, with a refrigerator, geyser, oven, electric kettle, water, tea and coffee setup, and kitchen essentials. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the hospitality was top-notch. Mr. Gyanendra was one of the best hosts we’ve met in our travels. He’s skilled and well-qualified, and now spends his pre-retirement life personally hosting guests with genuine warmth and care. He invited us to a bonfire on the terrace, which he designed beautifully, and it made our evenings unforgettable. A memorable stay, and highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, comfort, honesty and heartfelt hospitality.

I found the homestay in Tadong calm and conveniently located, which made the stay relaxing. The hosts were friendly and courteous, always ready to help with a smile. My room was neat, clean and well arranged, with a homely feel. It was a very pleasant, comfortable visit.

I spent two days here on an official work trip, and after long meetings, coming back to the Apartment felt restorative. The owner’s personal care is what sets it apart, with a genuine, almost paternal warmth. Service was efficient and discreet, and seemed to anticipate what a busy professional needed.
