The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well kept. The washrooms could use more maintenance, and the food was above average. We stayed at Oak Ridge hotel , Gangtok with our family recently. It's about a five-minute walk from MG Marg, though getting there means climbing quite a few stairs. There's no lift, so a room on the top floor could be difficult to reach.

Getting to the hotel means dealing with a lot of stairs, and both the room and location felt poor for the price. I've stayed in rooms right on MG Marg that were better and cheaper. The complimentary breakfast was the worst I've ever had. It was impossible to eat, and the chai tasted like it had far more water than milk. I'd avoid this place and stay on MG Marg instead. Don't be taken in by the property's fake five-star reviews.

The rooms and food were good, and the hotel looked nice, but there were power cuts and the rooms felt a bit damp. It's very close to MG Marg, though reaching it involves a steep flight of stairs. The hotel is down a staircase, which makes it difficult for older people. Staff helped carry the luggage.

A mess throughout the premises, with dog poop and pee everywhere, made this one of my worst experiences. First I was offered the wrong room, and only got an update later. My room was supposed to include breakfast, but the hotel said it wasn't part of my plan. Quite a joke. Fab needs to change its partnership with oak or get this place sorted out. 🥵

The property was dirty, and the internet photos looked old and fake compared with the place in person. Staff didn't know what they were doing and lacked basic manners. The service was pathetic from the manager and management down to the junior staff. At these rates, you can get a better place in a 3 Star hotel. Don't book here, look for a better option. 😡
