Hotel Narmada

The room we got wasn't the view room we had paid for. They said the hotel was full and promised to move us the next day, but the staff were rude when we asked for anything, and sometimes laughed in our faces. They seemed connected with an agent and were making fools of us, taking advantage of tourists and families. The service was zero quality and a waste of money. The hotel should close soon. The bed was broken, the bedsheet was dirty and smelly, and we ended up using our own blanket. The floor had no carpet and felt ice cold underfoot. There was no heater, and when we asked for one, they wanted extra money. The cupboard door was broken and had no mirror. The washroom was dirty, its tap was broken, and the shower heater wasn't working properly. The washroom light switch was connected to the main switch, so turning on the washroom light also turned on the main light. The heater switch was outside the room.

We ended up changing hotels because the geysers weren't working properly. The sheets, blankets, and pillows were used, and they provided nothing beyond water. We even had to ask for a glass. They got angry when we asked for water or a glass, and didn't cooperate with us. They also refused our request for two attached rooms, saying they would arrange that in the next two days. No welcome tea either. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend them. Please don't waste your money and time choosing the agency and hotel called MAA VAISHNO DEVI TOUR & TRAVELS. Don't be fooled into booking with them.

For the price, the rooms are nice, and the washroom was clean. The boys serving at the hotel were active and cooperative. You can see kanchanjunga from the window. It was a good experience.

A budget-friendly gem in Gangtok. The staff, manager, chef, and owner all give the place a warm, family-like feel.
