OYO 6609 Sikkim Le Green

I stayed here for four days. The setting is beautiful, and cleanliness and the other services were good. There’s also a restaurant, though I felt the food prices were high.

They helped us arrange local sightseeing, including Changu Lake, and the homemade food was delicious. Sikkim Le Green is right by the helipad, with one of the most scenic Gangtok views to wake up to. It’s a little away from the main city, but getting transport to and from town was easy. I’d recommend staying here despite the distance, especially given what they call their “limitless hospitality.”

I’m looking for some basic information before booking. Which room names in the OYO app have the balcony view, the helipad view? Can visitors take a ride in the helicopter? How far is it from the main city, and what transport is available?

Please avoid booking online through OYO. They accept the booking and payment, but when you arrive the hotel authorities may tell you they have no tie-up with OYO, leaving your money blocked. Then you have to contact OYO repeatedly to explain, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a refund after 10 days. The Lachen and Lachung packages are substandard too, with poor facilities for tourists. A vehicle meant for 8 people had 10 accommodated in it, and the food was substandard.
