We were travelling with our mom, who came here for treatment, and had several food preferences. Mr. Sanchaman was very hospitable and flexible. He spoke with the chef and made sure our order came out the way we wanted. Thanks so much for that. Thanks as well to the Spa ma’am Pooja, and to the whole check-in and restaurant staff, Ms. Aakansha and Ms. Bimala. Amazing experience, and all the best to the property. The staff are amazing.

The modern decor and prime location stood out, and the staff did a lot to make me comfortable. My room was spotless and had all the amenities I needed. Breakfast was delicious. I recently stayed here and it exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back! 😊

Akansha looked after us well in the restaurant, where the food was great, with good vegetarian options and a lovely dining experience. The staff were courteous, welcoming and always smiling. Our stay at Sumitel Shangri-la Gangtok was from Dec 15 to Dec 19. We had a family attic room for the first two days, then a premium room for the last day, and both were good. The hotel is in a great locality for visiting places, and the friendly staff made it a great place to stay. I’d recommend it for individuals, families or friends coming to Gangtok for a good vacation. Thanks to all Sumitra Shangri-la staff members for the wonderful hospitality.

We had a great couple of days at Sumi Shangrila. The whole team was sweet and helpful. If you love coffee, ask Akansha from the Restraunt staff to make yours.

The staff were friendly, sweet, helpful and courteous. The room itself was a different story: quite small, with visible mold on the walls, linen that didn’t look clean, and an extremely dirty carpet. There was also a strong unpleasant smell that was hard to tolerate. The washrooms weren’t maintained properly, and the food was average at best, maybe even below average.
