The food at the hotel restaurant was nice, freshly made, and had a homely taste. Staff were polite and good as well. The view rooms were good, but the non-view ones weren’t good at all. They had no windows, and the poor ventilation meant there was always a damp smell.
Breakfast had a wide variety of delicious food, and one staff member supervising the buffet was especially attentive, making sure guests were looked after. The staff overall were friendly and courteous, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our spacious, clean, well-kept room had a stunning mountain view, a very comfortable bed, and amenities that all worked properly. The main drawback was the bed arrangement for groups of three or four. There’s no separate double bed for them, which was very problematic. The hotel is a short drive from MG Marg, so it’s easy to reach while still being away from the city noise. Our stay in Gangtok was wonderful and memorable. I’d highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again.
The staff were cooperative and courteous throughout, and the rooms were spacious, neat, and clean. A few things could be better: the hotel is quite far from MG Market, so exploring the area was less convenient; some water bottles had no caps; bathroom hot water was inconsistent; the food was a little below expectations; and some linen looked worn. It also seemed to be running with limited staff, which may have caused operational challenges. Those are just my observations.
The food was a highlight, with tasty multi-cuisine options, and the hotel’s ambiance reflects Sikkimese culture for an authentic feel. Gangtok Heritage Inn has spacious, clean rooms with modern amenities, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The steep slope up to the hotel could be hard for seniors or people with mobility issues. For couples and travelers with average mobility, it’s manageable. A great base for exploring Sikkim.
It’s about 6 km from the main market, so the location is a little off the beaten path. The quiet atmosphere and scenic mountain views are a plus. Gangtok Heritage Inn in Sikkim seems to offer free parking, Wi-Fi, breakfast, and a pet-friendly stay. Reviews are very positive about the facilities, beautiful rooms, and tasty food. Staff, including Niraj Patel, are said to be humble and helpful. One reviewer also mentioned that reception arranged a cab booking and helped make their trip safe.
