It’s a nice place to spend the evening, and the manager can arrange a campfire if you ask. I met all kinds of travelers there, each with their own interesting personality. The manager was helpful and gave good guidance on local treks and places. It’s about 0.3 km from the temple and roughly half a kilometer from Main beach. The rooms and washrooms could be cleaner, though, and don’t count on hot water just because the comments mention it.

The price is good, and booking the whole dorm with a group might make the stay more comfortable. But the place was only okay, not great. There were spiders and webs everywhere, and neither the rooms nor toilets seemed to be cleaned daily. They really need to clean them every day.

It was a budget-friendly dorm stay, and the property manager was very helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned daily. There was a cafe, but it was closed because of covid; you could still sit and relax in the cafeteria. It’s also a good option for solo women travelers.

The host was nice and cooperative, and you can cook your own food in the kitchen. The location is pretty good, near Mahabaleshwar Temple and the bus stand, and fairly close to Gokarna main beach. Two rooms are connected, but only one has AC. The other has a wall fan that barely helps, and there are mosquitoes. The booking info says the rooms have AC. Wi-Fi reception in the room was poor. The bathrooms were a letdown: not clean, with low water pressure in my room. They could do a lot better. Try to find a better place before booking.

The property manager was helpful, but the rooms were very basic, just beds and a shower. There were insects in the room, and cleanliness wasn’t up to the mark. It was an average stay, fine if you only need somewhere to leave your bags and sleep at night.
