The Gateway Hotel Balaghat Road Gondia

The grounds are huge, with plenty of parking and room to walk around, and the price was decent. There are few options in Gondia, so this is one of the better hotels for the location. My room was okay, though it felt a little outdated. Each time I stepped into the corridor, there was a strong smell of smoke. The pool also wasn’t very well maintained. I had the dinner meal plan. It came with a basic drink, a starter, three main course choices, different rotis and naan, and dessert. Raj was handling all the restaurant tables on his own and kept the service moving quickly. The mosquitoes there were a constant nuisance. There’s a bar area too. The hotel felt quiet, maybe a bit lifeless. Some light music in the restaurant and a warmer lobby would help. Road work outside the property and around Gondia makes it very dusty, so allow an extra ten minutes to get anywhere.

I held a small dinner with family and friends at Ginger Hotel, Gondia, on 10 January 2026. It was my first time there, and I wanted to see the service before considering the venue for future personal or work events. The experience left me disappointed. I’m not blaming the staff, who seemed to be doing their best, but the overall management fell short. Our food arrived very late, along with several other problems that need serious attention. I’d specifically invited my family and friends, and seeing them, especially the children, inconvenienced was upsetting. I’m now unsure whether I’ll return or recommend the hotel. I’m sharing this honestly and hope the service improves.

We had a pleasant stay in a spacious, well-kept room with plenty of storage and a lovely view. You can watch the sunrise right from bed. The large campus is green and peaceful, and there’s lots of parking. Staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Breakfast was good, though the overall food selection felt a little limited. The road outside is being built and gets dusty, otherwise the setting would be even nicer.
