Allowing someone to use the washroom is basic hospitality for a good hotel, and this place doesn't even have a common washroom. Since that point came up in your reply, readers should know. Loading suitcases into the vehicle is another basic service, and I'm glad it was done. But using these services to defend an untidy room and having only one staff member working is rubbish. The response to reviews doesn't seem very positive either. I believe the receptionist is also replying to posts, which only supports my point about not having enough staff for the right jobs.

The in-house restaurant, often called The Spice Rack, was handy and the food was decent. Service could be slow, but the staff were polite and helpful. I stayed at The Cocoon for a short weekend while passing through Gonikoppal, and found it comfortable and good value for South Coorg or a work trip. The location is right on the main road, nearly at an intersection, so take care entering or leaving the parking area. A traffic police officer was managing the steady stream of vehicles. Rooms were clean and reasonably spacious, with reliable hot water and a choice of AC or Non AC. Parking was good.

One star only because zero isn't an option. The food quality was awful. I wouldn't recommend eating here. Even street food would be just as good.

The food they served us was terrible and a waste of money. Please don't visit for this. A small takeaway or another hotel would be better.
