Bansari Greens Resort

The pool was one of the reasons we picked Bansari Resort, so finding it out of service despite being featured in the photos was frustrating. We stayed two days, and there were other maintenance and service issues too: some indoor games couldn’t be used, and with no phone in the rooms, contacting the distant reception was inconvenient. The resort sits well inside a village. After dark, the area feels isolated without proper street lighting, which makes getting around uncomfortable. Meals are limited to basic snacks and a fixed thali, there’s no full-service restaurant, and food delivery apps don’t reach the area.

We got together at Bansari resort with 19 cousins who came from Ahmedabad, Vapi, Rajkot, other Indian cities, and abroad. The nine double rooms were comfortable and hygienic, with basic facilities. The food was delicious from the welcome drink through breakfast the next day. We’d asked in advance for a few favorite dishes, and the chef took extra care with them. Staff were helpful and courteous too. We enjoyed the library, recreation room, and pool during the day, then spent the evening on the green lawn until sunset. The garden and peaceful setting made our family gathering more fun. I’d recommend Bansari resort to friends looking for a natural getaway near Ahmedabad.

We came as a group of four for half a day, with lunch and high tea. The food was nicely prepared, and the place has a lovely green setting and a large pool. Staff were well mannered with visitors, and there are games for all ages.

Our two-day stay at Bansari Resort fell short. The pool wasn’t running, even though it’s shown in the photos, and we’d expected to use it. The resort is tucked into a village, where it gets dark and deserted after sunset because there aren’t streetlights. It’s not very convenient to move around in the evening. Some recreation facilities also weren’t in good shape, and getting to reception from the rooms takes time since it’s some distance away. Food choices are sparse, just basic snacks and a fixed meal.
